The heiress of an affluent family, Chia was placed with high expectations, yet sheltered most of her life. While her family had high social standing and known for being elitist, Chia put in an effort to be polite and warm with others regardless of class.

For this reason, Chia found herself befriending both Romano and Umbra as they served her family in their youth. She quickly grew admiration for the gentlemanly chimera man, and enjoyed hearing about his travels and experiences. As they grew older, Chia feelings for Romano only grew deeper, and she was pleased to have them reciprocated as they courted.

Unfortunately, Romano’s heartfelt proposal was denied by her family; they rejected his low standing, and forbade the two to wed. In an act of defiance, Chia went to Romano and urged him to help her leave, willing to renounce her inheritance if it meant she could be with him.

Shortly after the two eloped and purchased a home for themselves and Umbra, Chia travelled with Romano for a couple years — where she finally experienced all that she could by his side. But their time together came to an end with Romano’s untimely death — not long after conceiving their son. Heartbroken by the loss, it took both Umbra’s support and a lot of time for Chia to grieve, and to gather herself to complete her pregnancy. With Umbra’s continued aid, they were able to care for and raise her son, Rosco, in the home Romano left to them.

Chia still mourns what could have been, but is gladdened to see her son thriving, while operating a quaint bed and breakfast alongside her dear sister and friend.
