Boa is Zuro’s giant companion snake, often draped around his shoulders and neck during his work, or coiled up to herself. Her name is quite misleading; she has the size and girth of a python, but the aggressive nature of a viper — with the speed, fangs, and venom to back it up.
Boa carries a bit of an indifferent, mistrustful attitude towards most others, but under Zuro’s control she will not harm anyone. She won’t hesitate to threaten, however, if annoyed, or if either she or Zuro are endangered. Despite her barely tolerant and almost aloof demeanor toward Zuro, Boa seemed to enjoy being around his presence.
Boa’s venom, though deadly, is quite rare and has many medicinal properties. She regularly allows Zuro to extract it from her fangs without the risk of getting bitten.
Khimoré’s living shadow can shift between appearing like a normal silhouette, and appearing more beastly (wolf-like) — the latter most especially during active use of her magic. Being an extension of her magic, her shadow is also an extension of her mood. It will visibly react to things that interest, startle, or annoy Khim, even if her own expressions remain subtle or hidden. Even then, her shadow can display an “unpredictable” nature at times — one that doesn’t always reflect Khimoré’s actual demeanor.
In the active form, Khim’s shadow is controlled to interact with the shadow of other objects, in order to better sense what or who they are, or as a defense by causing psychological discomfort or pain. The energy used depends in part on the cast size of her shadow and how complex its movements are.
In the passive form, her shadow is masked to look and behave normally… usually. It occasionally dictates its own movements, as the magic seems to give it a mind of its own, but it is otherwise harmless and uses minimal energy.
