Quincy is highly curious, eager, and a friendly and lovable goofball at heart. He’s open to friendly relations and is very sociable among his teammates, and with other people and pokemon in general. He dislikes seeing other’s upset or lonely, and will do what the can to help them feel better, even for those who he may have just met. While this might seem a bit naive to some, it doesn’t deter his optimistic outlook, and he learns to be careful when he needs to be.

- Loves food in general and is not picky about what he eat, but he especially loves Lava Cookies.
- Despite being a fire type, Quincy is fine being in standing /gently flowing water and even enjoys warm water. It’s cold or high-powered water attacks that he dislikes and that affect him.
- As a gijinka, his vest is reversible: one side with 3 heat vent spots near the hem, the other side with a flame design instead. He mainly switches to wearing the flames on the outside during battles.
- Quincy feels comfortable with his form as a Quilava and does not wish to evolve into his final stage.
