UPDATE: 2022 ➝ 2023 New Year Reflections + Goals

Happy New Year to everyone! I know I’m a week late, and most people have already written their own New Years reflections by now, but I waited until after the holiday rush to collect my thoughts. ~~Also I was sick for a few days — just with a cold though, thankfully.~~

I originally intended to write an update that only pertained to DEITIES Project — to mirror the update I did last year on the DEITIES website. However, with the amount of tasks I accomplished in 2022 (both inside and outside the project) — and the amount that I’d like to continue in 2023 — I figured it’d be better to reflect on everything within the same post, this time using the blog feature on my OC’ Portfolio.

With this in mind, here’s a retrospective for my past year, and an idea of what I hope to accomplish in the new year…

UPDATE: Playlists and Tracklists Pages

NEW Playlists & Tracklists Pages

Hello all! Just a quick update to share some newly published pages for Character Playlists and Tracklists. Creating playlists has become a gradual + passive way for me to develop my OCs and OTPs as I listen to music, since I’m often listening for new songs or old favorites that suit their characters.

While I do link my OCs’ Spotify playlists on their pages, there isn’t a easy way to browse them all at a glance unless someone follows my Spotify account — which shouldn’t be a prerequisite. The Playlists page is meant to cut that barrier, and also save a few clicks — since all embedded tracks can be scrolled and even played or sampled within your browser. The Tracklists page also serve as a text-based record to easily skim songs and artists.

I may save further reflection on building playlists for another blog post, and I intend to make a similar playlist hub for my DEITIES Project at a later date. For now, I hope my collection will speak [sing?] for itself! Feel free to sample any of the tracks in your browser or Spotify app if you need something fresh to listen to, and hope you enjoy!

Happy Halloween everyone, and happy end to this year’s OC_Tober run! This spontaneous post is the result of a minor (major–) hitch is editing the Twitter Moment I intended to manage for my own # OC_tober run — one that couldn’t be “undone” nor readily remade in a timely matter. While the thread is still active, it’s may not be easy to navigate, at least not in order. ~~Thanks a bunch, Twitter~~.

To make up for this, I’ve placed my recorded tweet commentary in this blog post — thanks to drafting all of them in Notion.so to keep things organized. Characters will be presented in the order of introduction for ease of access and scrolling. Feel free to catch up and learn more about my first 32 OCs under the cut!
