Zuro and Adelle met through a series of [amusing] misunderstandings before dating. In spite of her reactive attitude towards him, he was pleasantly surprised to discover her sweet and fun-loving side, and his familiarity with the moonrabbit grew into interest and affection.
Zuro cares deeply about Adelle, and enjoys doting over his “girl” as much as he does teasing her. However, he has since learned not to underestimate her quick-wit or mischievous nature — though he admittedly enjoys this side to her. Zuro enjoys spending time with Adelle, and is always ready to ease up and support her when necessary.

The younger brother of his friend Breia, Zuro enjoys teasing Aaron — in spite of the chimera’s tendency to retaliate by “accidentally” tripping him or stepping on his feet (they both know full well Aaron can navigate to avoid it, despite the other’s blindness). Zuro truthfully thinks Aaron is a good kid though and respects his skills, and is willing to ease up to lend the other encouragement when needed.
BREIA

A childhood friend who Zuro has remained close with to this day. Zuro enjoys spending time in Breia’s company and finds her easy to talk to and confide in, and he values her friendly and supportive attitude. He is impressed by Breia’s hard work in maintaining her jewelry shop with her brother, Aaron, and also gets along well with her snake tail, Isshan.
CLOVE

A Scizor in ranger work that Zuro met during his travels. He acknowledges and respects Clove’s experience and work ethic, but can’t help but poke some fun at the scizor now and then due to her serious nature. He’s careful not to overdo it too much though, especially when he notices if she doesn’t understand his teasing.
DZHOKAR

Zuro has wanted nothing to do with his estranged father since their fateful first meeting during his adulthood. Zuro openly resents Dzhokar for leaving him and his mother, and dislikes acknowledging the older dragon as kin. But due to Dzhokar’s familiarity with Haiku, Zuro’s qualms are slowly relaxing — just enough to practice some level of civility with his “douche dad” when absolutely necessary.
ENZI

Zuro became familiar with Enzi through her friendship with Breia, and her budding relationship with Jaeger. He was pleasantly surprised, and amused, to watch the alluring unicorn take a shine to his dragon friend, and quickly supported them as a couple. Zuro’s gotten to know Enzi more since then as she established herself within their friend group, and he enjoys exchanging casual banter with her.
FANG

Zuro has known of Fang since they were younger, having initially met the other dragon through his friend Breia. They’ve properly aquatinted and have become more familiar with each other when Fang started seeing Haiku. Zuro is still getting to know Fang personally, but respects the other dragon’s skills as a hunter, and appreciates the way he looks after his family and after Haiku.

Zuro met Furosen through her cousin, Haiku. He finds Furosen very endearing, while also recognizing her talents with tailoring and clothing design. Zuro respects her ability to manage and live on her own, though he does sometimes wish he had more time to visit. He also has a soft spot for Fuu’s beloved pet, Cocoa.
GABRIEL

Zuro met Gabriel briefly as younger kids thru Breia, and when the gargoyle stuck by Fang’s side. Zuro gets along well with Gab, is amused by his mannerisms and antics, and generally enjoys his company. He also believes Gab to be well-meaning, especially concerning his growing relationship with Furosen.
HAIKU

Haiku is close friends with Zuro, and he often affectionately refers to her as his “sister.” He thinks she is a talented dancer and finds her easy to talk to, making an effort to be there for her should she need a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on. He appreciates how much Haiku dotes over him (even with the occasional scolding), and is amused by her quiet perspective on things, and how comfortable she is with his pet snake, Boa.
JAEGAR

Zuro’s longtime friend who he’s known since childhood. He considers the fellow dragon his best bro and enjoys Jaegar’s company, appreciating the other’s relaxed attitude and finding amusement in his antics (and often joining right in, to others’ chagrin). Having known of Jae’s tendency for short-term flings, he’s pleasantly surprised and supportive for the Jae’s established relationship with his new girlfriend, Enzi.
MEHNDI

Zuro and Mehndi are each other’s childhood friends, the latter been something of an older sister and former babysitter– caretaker to the younger dragon, and who he could confide in. Zuro admires Mehndi’s work and appreciates her relaxed nature. It’s also from Mehndi that Zuro earned part of his speech style, ear piercings, and wing tattoos.
MONIT

Zuro knows Monit through the other’s partnership with Clove during their ranger work. He finds the Gligar good company, and although he can sympathize with [while teasing about] the other’s tendency to avoid too much work, he’s aware of how skilled and capable Monit is when the situation calls for it.
RICKI

Zuro was originally surprised to learn that Ricki was a cousin of Adelle’s, but nonetheless enjoys teasing the ginger moonrabbit. That said, Zuro does respect Ricki and his values, and will ease up to offer his advice when needed. Zuro also does Ricki a solid by providing remedies for Ricki’s pollen allergy.
ROSCURO

Zuro truthfully knows the chimera best through Rosco’s established relationship with Soleil, and his friendship with Haiku. He’s familiar enough with Rosco and finds the chimera likable — especially since the bartender knows how to mix a mean drink.

Zuro quickly befriended Soleil during their respective travels, and enjoys any chance to catch up with her. He’s impressed by Sol’s various skills and talents, and enjoys both her fun, easygoing nature, and her observant perspective when offering advice. Their shared sense of humor also makes it fun to exchange banter with her, especially regarding word play and puns.
VALOR

Having come across the djinn during the other’s training sessions (and thru their mutual friendship with Haiku), Zuro respects Valor’s work ethic, diligence, and strength. Still, he sometimes finds Valor to be too serious, but has learned to keep his observations to light teasing, and not question the other’s M.O. At the end of the day, he trusts Valor’s judgment and values him as a solid ally.
YOKO

Zuro knows Yoko as Haiku’s cousin, and as of recent, Ricki’s girlfriend. From the few times they have met, Zuro finds Yoko very interesting and fun company. He finds her status as a former thief questionable, but does not judge or hold it against her, and is glad to learn she’s moved on to [more palatable] vigilante work.
ZELDA

Zuro recognizes and appreciates how his mother, Zelda, raised him primarily on her own — after his father left them both before he was born — and also served as his teacher during his early childhood. Though Zuro has since begun to live on his own, he and his mother maintain a close relationship, and he makes an effort to visit her often.
