Ricki’s first encounter with Yoko’s thievery left him wary of the kitsune, and easily frustrated by her teasing and forwardness. Over time, Ricki slowly eased into more friendly interactions with her, and his mixed feelings eventually developed into genuine fondness and interest.

Ricki is often flustered by his girlfriend’s bold and unapologetic personality, but has grown to appreciate it, and finds her playful and curious nature endearing. Though prone to moments of jealousy towards others, he ultimately trusts Yoko’s judgment. Ricki appreciates Yoko’s willingness to meet his pace, and he attempts to return her effort and affection when he can.

Adelle is one of Ricki’s older cousins — and among the few he’s more acquainted with, out of a countless number on his mother’s side of the family. They used to have a playful but intense rivalry as children, neither afraid to roughhouse with the other. This has diminished as they’ve both gotten older, and aside from still teasing each other relentlessly, they get along fairly well.

Ricki is familiar with Amber as Victor’s younger sister. He’s fond of the hellhound, enjoying her brief company and visits to see his family. He’s noticed quite the shift in her confidence as she’s matured, but is glad to see her doing well for herself. Amber is also one of the few from Victor’s guild he feels most comfortable with.

Soleil’s older brother, who Ricki had become familiar with through her and Rosco. Ricki is often surprised by how relaxed the chimera is at times — even in moments that seem serious — but he recognizes how skilled and perceptive Altan really is. Being on generally friendly terms with Altan, Ricki can endure the guy’s occasional teasing for the most part, and takes Altan’s genuine, and sometimes candid, advice to heart.

Ricki wasn’t sure how to feel about Camilla when she was forced to attack Soleil, but grew more sympathetic when Soleil vouched for her missing friend’s situation. He trusted Sol’s judgment, and saw for himself Candy’s true nature when she had the time to recover. He gets along well with Candy now, unable to help but enjoy her presence and sweet personality.

ENZI

Ricki met Enzi through her friendship with Zuro and her relationship with Jaegar. A part of him feels indebted to her for capturing Jae’s heart — deep enough that the dragon hasn’t entertained flirting with Yoko since. Ricki is still getting to know Enzi, but so far he finds the unicorn to be pleasant company.

Furosen is a childhood friend who Ricki fiercely defended from bullies who teased her as kids, and they developed a bond ever since. Ricki remains very close to Fuu to this day, admiring her talents with clothing design and her caring nature. He enjoys visiting her and sharing her company whenever he has the chance. Ricki also gifted Fuu with her guardian shi, Daran, in an unsuccessful effort to deter away a certain gargoyle — since Daran is friendly with everyone.

A rogue gargoyle who Ricki was not thrilled to learn about Furosen getting involved with — especially learning she had freely accepted him to visit her home (where she resided by herself, at the time). Ricki has remained suspicious and unsure of Gab’s motives with Fuu, but reminds himself to trust her judgment. As of now Ricki barely tolerates Gab, but is slowly growing familiar with the gargoyle’s presence for Fuu’s sake.

Furosen’s and Yoko’s cousin, Ricki has met and run into Haiku over several occasions. He respects Haiku’s craft and appreciates her pleasant demeanor. He also values her honest advice and willingness to act as a mediator or sounding board, especially regarding his developing relationship with Yoko.

Ricki primarily knows of Jaegar through Zuro, but he doesn’t particularly like him. Ricki doesn’t appreciate Jae’s relentless trolling and teasing — especially about his relationship with Yoko, where the dragon has “jokingly” flirt with her more than once. He is very grateful that the guy seems to have redirected his attention and efforts towards his new girlfriend, Enzi.

NARI

Ricki’s and Nari’s opinion of each other were neutral, until Ricki had a serious argument [and temporary breakup] with Yoko. Nari was one of many from Yoko’s guild who defended her, and also the last to really forgive Ricki for his screw-up. Despite their unsteady footing, Ricki eventually settled his differences with the kamaitachi to clear the air between them. The two remain on decent terms, and Ricki considers Nari to be an ally and occasional sparring partner.

Ricki initially met Zuro through his cousin Adelle, as her boyfriend. Ricki tolerates the dragon’s teasing up to a point, often stubbornly brushing it off. But he tries to take it in good humor and does appreciate Zuro’s honest advice — and his help with his remedies for his pollen allergies.

REESE

Ricki knows Reese as one of Yoko’s best friends, and usually interacts with the kamaitachi while among their mutual friend group. Ricki feels pretty neutral towards Reese so far, though he can be less than enamored with some of Reese’s antics and teasing. Despite this, he doesn’t mind the other’s company, and can appreciate Reese’s insights for enjoying life.

RIEGHO

Ricki’s father, he has high admiration and respect for Riegho — as a formidable warrior, a personal trainer and coach, and as a supportive dad. Though they sometimes butt heads, they have a solid relationship with each other and Ricki values his dad’s support. Ricki aspires to be as inspiring and accomplished as his father and make him proud.

ROSCURO

Ricki had been wary of Rosco when the other started getting cozy with Soleil — too cozy for his liking, based on rumors he heard about the chimera. It took some time for Ricki to ease up on his presumptions about Rosco and trust his intentions, and he became more tolerant and familiar with Rosco slowly — though it didn’t stop him from bickering with the other often. While he’d rarely admit it, Ricki considers Rosco a friend and even values his uninvited [but well-meaning] advice.

SIONN

💙 💚 💚 💚 💛 💛 ◽ ◽ ◽ ◽

Ricki and Sionn got off on the wrong foot when both of them were being overly protective of Soleil. Ricki eased back once he realized Sionn was like a brother to Sol, and cared for her well-being too. While they remained a bit gruff towards each other for a time, they’ve become more familiar over are on pleasant terms, and Ricki often finding himself sharing solidarity with Sionn among their mutual friends.

SOLEIL

Soleil is one of Ricki’s closest friends. He respects her skills and admires her spirt, and enjoys having a chance to catch up with her in between her travels and work. Ricki also trusts Sol to have his back and support him when needed, and strives to do the same for her. He could do without seeing the PDA she exchanges with Rosco, but has grown fairly accustomed to it, and their unprompted [but useful] couples advice.

STELLA

Ricki’s mother. Though he somethings feels a little overwhelmed by Stella’s worrying over him, or making an excited fuss about his latest relationship, Ricki truly cares for her and appreciates his mother doting over him and his friends. He’s also glad to see that she and his girlfriend get along so well.

VALOR

Ricki met Valor during their teen years when Valor was one of his father’s students, and they’ve run into each other on their respective travels. Though he sometimes finds it hard to read the djinn’s stoic demeanor, Ricki respects Valor as a formidable warrior and — on rare occasions — sparring partner.

VICTOR

Ricki had known of Victor during their teen years, when Vic was one of his father’s students, and they reacquainted again when Yoko joined Vic’s guild the Summer Devils. Ricki initially felt wary of Victor’s intentions with Yoko, but eventually felt more reassured the other would look out for her and keep her safe. While he doesn’t always enjoy Victor’s crude teasing, he does trust and hold a grudging respect for the notorious hellhound.
