Valor is very close with Charity, appreciates her quiet understanding, and finds the Gardevoir easiest to confide himself with. He feels very protective towards her, but respects her judgment and understands that she can hold her own.

Having developed strong feelings for her over time, he and Charity have recently begun a relationship. His romantic gestures are often subtle, as he prefers most of them to remain private, but he reserves expressing his true feelings towards Charity when he can.

Valor sees Cassandra as a close friend and ally. He respects her expertise and honesty, and often times will seek her advice or confide in her. There are times when he’ll disagree with the Delphox, often when she calls him out for certain behaviors, but he’ll choose to heed her advice more often than not.

A Scizor who he befriended through a few training sessions together. Valor respects Clove’s strength, and appreciates her similar work ethic and temperament. He also enjoys the chance to train and spar with her whenever they meet.

DIANA

A wild Liepard who Valor first encountered after she had stalked down his trainer, he managed to hold his own against her in a battle until T.C. captured her. Initially having a low opinion of Diana, their animosity has simmered to a mild team rivalry. Valor’s grown to tolerate her presence, but he doesn’t appreciate her taunting and forward attitude, and he can’t bring himself to trust her motives.

ELLIOT

A long time friend and ally, Valor respects Elliot’s level-headed nature and calmness for most situations. He’s tolerant of the Espeon’s tendency to tease, taking most of it in good “humor,” and at times he appreciates the other’s more sincere advice and perspective.

Having first met during their respective travels, Valor appreciates Haiku’s kind nature and generosity, and is inwardly grateful by her concern for him. He values their friendship and enjoys her company, and at times finds himself being mindful over her well-being.

KUDZU

Kudzu’s nosiness and persistence made him a thorn in Valor’s side, when the servine first joined their team. Valor’s managed to set him straight, but has also eased off giving the other a hard time, conceding that Kudzu’s antics lacked ill intent. They hold mutual expectations where Kudzu respects Valor’s authority, and Valor respects Kudzu’s ‘nerve’ and leaves him be — unless he has to intervene to keep the servine out of trouble.

NARI

Valor has known the weavile for some time, even prior to learning he was Rita’s older brother. Valor values Nari’s friendship and the two are on good terms with each other. They often train together, and both enjoy a good sparring match that frequently brings out each others’ competitive sides.

PHIZZUROH

Though initially unnerved by Zuro handling a live snake, Valor had grown to trust the dragon’s expertise and feels neutrally to Boa. Is on good terms with Zuro and appreciates his relaxed attitude, despite sometimes feeling put off by the dragon’s tendency to tease.

QUINCY

QUILAVA GIJINKA (Pokemon Verse)

Valor was initially neutral towards Quincy, beyond his obligation to look out for the quilava as their team leader. But Quincy’s friendly attitude eventually grew on Valor, and he started humoring the other’s enthusiasm while seeing him as a younger brother. Quincy doesn’t give Valor much to worry about compared to their other teammates, but Valor is vigilant to make sure the quilava’s naivety doesn’t get him hurt.

RICKI

First meeting Ricki while training under the other’s father, Riegho, Valor would sometimes break to practice exercises with the moonrabbit. He remains on good terms with Ricki, and on the rare occasions they meet, is open to training or sparring with him.

RITA

SNEASEL/WEAVILE GIJINKA (Pokemon Verse)

A young sneasel who Valor befriended over time, Rita’s cheerful attitude and enthusiasm soon grew on Valor through their interactions. He cares for her and tends to look out for her well-being whenever he can, and they occasionally train together. Rita is also Valor’s self-appointed “shoulder pal.”

STERLING

MAWILE GIJINKA (Pokemon Verse)

Valor initially thought of Sterling as rather spoiled, but grew to understand it was part of the young mawile’s front. They’ve grown on each other since then, and while he still doesn’t appreciate her occasional lip, he considers Sterling like a kid sister and is there to support her (while keeping her attitude in check). While he’d have no qualms wrecking anyone who would bring Sterling harm, he acknowledges she can handle that task on her own.

VICTOR

Valor maintains a deep rivalry with Victor, after the other provoked him into an intense battle, and the houndoom remains one of a few who can rile Valor up. Thoroughly put off by the Victor’s rash and crude attitude, Valor is quick to judge him and his motives. There is a part of him that has grown to [inwardly] respect and tolerate the houndoom, however.
