Tyson is an ambitious trainer and pokemon tracker, who is friendly and easy to get along with. He gets a thrill from tracking and catching new pokemon, and is accustomed with adapting to the situations his livelihood brings. He also enjoys his downtime with his team when off the job, and the comfort of enjoying fun entertainment, good food, and relaxing in his own space.

Tyson enjoys interacting with others, but has developed a habit of sometimes treating new connections as an opportunity for a client contact. When it comes to attracting new clientele, wanting to learn information, or asking for a favor, he tends to rely on a more persuasive charm — which sometimes comes across as too full-of-it if he gets ahead of himself. He is, however, careful not to offer anything he can’t or wouldn’t back up, and does his best to offer help and fulfill most tasks presented to him to assist other, clients and friends alike.

• One of his nicknames growing up was “Ox,” a name that he still goes by but that not many know of unless they are acquainted with him.
• Tyson doesn’t always restrict himself to just capturing wild pokemon, and will on occasion help clients acquire them thru regional events and other (attainable) prizes, or from other people he knows.
• For all his knowledge with wild pokemon battles, he’s is less practiced with competitive battles, training, and strategies, and gets most of his tips and coaching from Tanja.
• Used to both spectate and practice at the Big Stadium of Nimbasa City, and was particularly good at soccer. He’s out of practice now due to his travels, but still enjoys spectating, and doesn’t mind a friendly match now and then.
• His glasses have transition lens, so they are clear indoors and tint to a red shade when outdoors or in bright light (for the record, he’s far-sighted).
• Has a high metabolism and an (almost) gluttonous appetite; he loves food and enjoys trying new cuisine wherever he travels, but also has a soft spot for anything home-cooked (though his own cooking is… passable).
• Secret love of jokes, brainteasers, puns, etc — anything clever (or lame) enough to make him think or grin. He’s not always the first to share the ones he knows, unless the opportunity presents itself, but enjoys hearing new ones from others.
